Who we are
Strengthening the Vulnerable. Uplifting the Marginalized
SODAC advocates for the human rights of the vulnerable and marginalized children through improved water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), women economic empowerment, improved agriculture, nutrition and food security, improved education and improved sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) in Malawi.
Since its establishment, SODAC has improved the living standards of more than 28,650 marginalized and vulnerable children and women through improved WASH, education, nutrition and health in Blantyre, Chiradzulu, Chikwawa, Chitipa, Likoma, Mangochi, Mchinji, Mwanza, and Salima districts in Malawi.
Our Belief
We believe in the power of community-led initiatives to address local challenges affecting children and women so that we build a more equitable world.
Our vision is to see dignified children and women with equitable access to their rights and confidence in their future.
To empower vulnerable and marginalized children and women through improved water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), education, nutrition, health, environmental management, climate change mitigation, and improved livelihoods.
We advocate for the human rights of vulnerable and marginalized children and women to enable them to lead healthy, dignified and productive lives.

How We Work
Partnering with institutions around the world to improve lives
With support from The Luena Foundation and The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Malawi, SODAC is currently implementing projects aimed at improving the living standards of children through WASH, education (ECD), nutrition, youth and women economic empowerment, SRHR, and environmental management and climate change resilience in Chikwawa and Blantyre districts.
Our Initiatives

Providing educational resources for boys and girls in the community
Creating access to clean and sustainable water for the community
Training on food processing, preservation and utilisation of locally available food.
